ORLANDO TRIP 2004
December 27, 2004-January 2, 2005
Overview and Instructions:
Following is a list of the types of assistance we will need from chaperones on this trip. Please read this carefully - we want you to know what we expect before we go.
1. Chaperones will need to check roll each time we get on or off the bus. They will also supervise students both on and off the bus. The staff will be in charge, but the chaperones will assist in keeping order during meals, at night, designated free time, in the parks, museums, shopping, etc.
2. Chaperones will “march” (walk) with the marching band in the Citrus Parade and at the Magic Kingdom on the parade routes.
3. Chaperones will be responsible to oversee and escort assigned groups of students in each of the various parks and amusements.
4. At the hotel, chaperones will assist in getting the students to their rooms, room checks, attendance, hallway monitoring, and behavior monitoring. They will assist security with monitoring the students.
5. Chaperones will assist in making sure everyone’s belongings are on the buses prior to departures. They will assist with preparations for departure for the parades—including uniform distributions and equipment loading/unloading.
6. Chaperones need to support Mr. Wardeska in any decisions he must make regarding the trip, large or small. The positive attitude and support of the chaperones regarding decisions of any nature is very important in maintaining calm, while providing a safe and educational, yet fun, trip for our students, YOUR children!
7. Chaperones will have to pay a $650 trip fee and be responsible for their own incidental expenses. A $25 deposit is due with this application and the payment schedule must be followed if you are selected as a chaperone.
8. Chaperones will be required to follow all rules and policies regarding school employees and students.
