EDUCATOR EXCELLENCE GRANT
2008-2009 GRANT
DESCRIPTION:
The Brunswick Education Foundation is again sponsoring ten (10) Educator Excellence grants for innovative classroom projects. Each grant will be awarded up to a maximum of $500.00 and must be completed during the upcoming school year. You must specifically identify which categories those dollars will be expended in. Under equipment, those are items like computers, Franklin Spellers, etc. Under supplies and materials, this will include the instructional supplies or materials needed for this project. Purchased services are any dollars you will use for consultant and/or workshops you would like to attend.
Applications will be accepted in the Education Department until 4:00 p.m. March 6, 2008. Please be certain that grants arrive on or before that date. Grant recipients will be notified by March 18, 2008.
Donna Amato and representatives from the Brunswick Education Foundation will review applications. The grants selected will be representative of various schools and grade levels/content areas. Grants will not be awarded to recipients of previous Educator Excellence Grants within the past three (3) years.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
The Brunswick Education Foundation wishes to support those classroom projects that emphasize a majority of the following characteristics:
Is an innovative project which uniquely impacts the teaching-learning process
Extends the curriculum and has a probable long-term impact
Is preferably interdisciplinary in nature
Provides for some teaming of staff and/or involves a large number of students
Complements or enhances the Continuous Improvement Goals
