Dear Parents,
The 2012-2013 School Year is in full swing and our students our flourishing as they grow and learn daily. The Staff and I would like to express our gratitude to you for all of your continued support in our endeavors to provide the students at Hickory Ridge with a positive learning experience. We cannot be successful without your help and encouragement!
Please note that the office hours at our school are from 7:30 to 3:30. Students that forget needed materials may return to school to collect them up until 3:30 p.m. Students will not be permitted back into the building after 3:30 p.m. Also, please note that students should not arrive at school before 8:20 a.m., as the first bell does not ring until 8:25 a.m. It is unsafe for students to be dropped off any earlier and thus left unattended. We understand that this may require some adjusting of scheduling for families where both parents work. Perhaps a relative or neighbor could be of assistance.
The tardy bell rings at 8:40 a.m. If you drop off your child after this time you are required to escort them to the office and sign them in. If your child is absent you must call the ATTENDANCE LINE directly (330-273-8104) to report the absence. Should you need homework please request the homework by leaving a message on the attendance line including the means by which you will retrieve the homework. You may choose to pick it up yourself or have it sent home with another student. Homework will be ready for pick-up after 3:00 pm.
For more detailed school policies please refer to the Student Handbook link located on the blue bar to the left side of this message!
We have received our Rating from the State of Ohio. Hickory Ridge has been rated "Excellent with Distinction"! The Staff and I are so appreciative of your support and for you continuously encouraging your children to achieve their full potential. All of your efforts have been recognized and you are deserving of thanks.
