Department Overview

Brunswick City Schools' Food Service Department is committed to promoting and providing students with wholesome and nutritious food choices.  Our food service program provides nutritious meals and snacks through the schools' meal program.
 
The Food Service Department participates in the National School Lunch Program and is required to meet one-third of a student's daily caloric needs.
 
All cafeteria managers are ServeSafe Certified.  This certificate is accredited by the American National Standard Institute - Conference for Food Protection and the National Restaurant Associations Educational Foundation.
 
Brunswick City Schools' Food Service Department currently uses NUTRIKIDS point-of-sale payment system.  Information can be found on the Point-of-Sale link.
 
It is our pleasure to serve both breakfast and lunch to the students of Brunswick City Schools.

New Food Guidelines

The Brunswick City School District recognizes that the health and safety of our students is of utmost importance.  We continually strive to maintain a healthy school atmosphere for all individuals.  At the start of the 2013-2014 school year, the District  implemented new guidelines for serving food and snacks to promote safety, consistency and equal access for the growing number of children who have life threatening allergies.  Please see the links below for the parent information letter, suggested shared snack list and classroom activities that include food.
