The Treasure Chest is a
quick and easy way for your teachers to integrate
technology into their classrooms with thousands of
resources that are engaging, free, and
standards-aligned. We even have a weekly audio podcast
on the site to highlight some of the best resources and
give practical tech integration ideas. I would
encourage you to pass this information along to your
K-12 math, science, social studies, and language arts
teachers. |

Ohio Social Studies Resource Center - At present the
OSSRC has resources available for many of the benchmarks
detailed in the Ohio Academic Content Standards. It is a
goal of the OSSRC to identify valuable resources for all
Ohio Social Studies Academic Content Standards and as
the collection process continues additional resources
will be added for all grade levels. |

Ohio Department of Education - IMS -
Ohio’s Web-based source for model lesson
and unit plans, assessments, research and resources,
standards-based education information and programmatic
improvement recommendations to help teachers creatively
teach Ohio’s Academic Content Standards to improve
student achievement in Ohio. |

Doing What
Works - The U.S. Department of Education has
launched a new Web site to provide educators with
recommendations on effective teaching practices and
examples of possible ways to implement those practices
to help promote excellence in American education and
improve student achievement. The first in the series
focuses on English language learners. The new "Doing
What Works" site offers a user-friendly interface to
quickly locate teaching practices that have been found
effective by the department's research arm, the
Institute of Education Sciences, and similar
organizations. In addition, it cites examples of
possible ways, although not necessarily the only ways,
this research may be used to help students reach their
academic potential.
