    School Cafeterias Go Computerized

Brunswick school cafeterias will be utilizing a new Point of Sale payment system for all school meals. The first day of service for the new system is Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Click here for the Parent Information letter that was sent home with your student and for additional information.

We are sorry for any misunderstanding with regards to setting up the “free account” and the transaction fee associated with mySchoolBucks.  The company charges a $1.95 convenience fee for adding money to the account electronically.  Please note this is not necessary nor does the school district benefit from these transactions. The free account is necessary for you to monitor and review purchases made by your child(ren). Payments (check or cash) can still be brought to school and be applied to the account without a fee.

"Buddy Up With A Good Book"

It is Reading Week at Hickory Ridge. This year's theme is "Buddy Up With A Good Book!"  Each day of the week there is a special event going on and daily we DEAR - "Drop Everything And Read" so the entire building is reading all at once for twenty minutes. Today, the special event was having Community Members come to our school to read to the students and talk about why reading is important. Several community members dropped everything to read with our students:  Mayor Gary Werner, Superintendent, Mr. Mayell, and Assistant Superintendent, Mrs. Magyar.
