My name is Keith W. Calvin, ATC/LAT. I am the Licensed Athletic Trainer for Brunswick High School and am responsible for the prevention, care, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries to all of our athletes. I am beginning my 27th year of teaching and have been an Athletic Trainer since 1979.

Assisting me for the 2006-2007 school year are Student Aides Gina Di Salvo, Bri Galloway, Danielle Groppi, Kayleigh Kakavas, Leaha (LJ) McPherson, Tanaka Mutiti, Kiersten Peders, Heather Smead, Cali Sneed, and Becca Widowski.

Training Room hours are typically 7AM until 1:30PM until school starts, Monday through Saturday. School days, 1:30-5:30 Monday-Thursday, Friday 1:30-3:00.

The Licensed Athletic Trainer will be present for home and away varsity football games, and the following home games: junior varsity football, freshman football, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, and track.

To better serve your son or daughter in their athletic endeavors, please take note of the following:

any doctor or hospital visit requires written documentation returned to the Athletic Trainer about the nature of the injury or illness and return to play instructions.
all injuries must be reported to the Athletic Trainer as appropriate injury and treatment logs must be completed by law.
evaluation of all injuries needs to be in a timely manner so that appropriate treatment or further medical referrals can be made.
communicate to the Athletic Trainer any concerns about your son's/daughter's health or injury so appropriate care can be delivered.
take care when completing the Preparticipation Physical Exam (PPE) form and OHSAA form that ALL signatures and dates are complete
please make sure you provide emergency contacts, cell numbers and insurance information on the PPE form.

My goal is always to return athletes to their sport activities as soon as it is safely possible. With communication from parents and athletes, prompt care provided by the Sports Medicine Department and effective treatments and rehabilitative techniques, we can provide our athletes with a safe sports season.
