Congratulations to Anderson Mitchell, Brunswick High School's January Student of the Month! Anderson excels academically with Honors, AP, and CCP courses while participating in choir and theater. He serves as class officer, Student Council member, Key Club volunteer, and Yearbook club member. Anderson also coordinates events for Bluey the Blue Devil. He plans to study Political Science in college.

Congrats to Applewood 5th grader, Kadie Gilbert! Her poem “The Echo” was chosen from thousands of entries to be published in The American Library of Poetry's 2025 Excellence Book! Kadie entered the contest last year after getting a flyer from her 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Butler. She's one of just a few hundred students nationwide to earn this honor.

Congratulations to Brunswick High School student-athlete Trey Drexler, who earned Medina Gazette Player of the Week for boys basketball during the week of January 26th! Trey had six 3-pointers, 9 field goals, and 30 points against Glenville, last year's Division IV state runner-up.

Congratulations to Brunswick High School student athlete Delaney McKelvy for earning the Medina Gazette Player of the Week for gymnastics during the week of January 26th!  Delaney scored a career high 9.3 to win the uneven parallel bars at the High School Gymnastics Challenge.

Congratulations to Brunswick High School student-athlete Bri Sigmund, who earned Gazette Athlete of the Week honors for girls basketball during the week of January 26th!  In her second year as a varsity player, she is averaging 6.6 points per game.

Congratulations to Brunswick High School student-athlete Noah Surovey, who earned Gazette Athlete of the Week honors for boys swimming during the week of January 26th! Noah won three events in the Greater Cleveland Conference swim meet against Shaker Heights and Euclid.
