Brunswick City Schools is located 20 miles between Cleveland and Akron. With our state-of-the-art facilities, technology upgrades, outstanding academic programs, fine arts, extracurricular activities, athletics and award-winning staff, our district is second to none. Brunswick, Ohio is a vibrant community that has been nationally recognized as one of the best cities in America to raise a family. Home to approximately 35,000 residents, the school district has always enjoyed strong support from our community.
Education began in Brunswick, Ohio in 1817 when Sarah Tillotson became the first teacher in Brunswick. She taught a class of 16 students in a log cabin located on the west side of town until the first schoolhouse was built. Since that time many educators and boards of education have been committed to the education of the youth in Brunswick.
Brunswick City Schools has seven elementary schools, three middle schools and one high school.
