Health Services
Department Overview
Our Health Services program serves as a vital link to the community, parents, and medical professionals. We provide students and staff with first aid treatment, disease management, and health screenings to ensure optimal health and wellness for all. Staff members are trained annually in the recognition and treatment of life-threatening emergencies, in addition to other topics. Additional educational training and wellness opportunities are available for staff members, including CPR/AED certification and health fairs.
The goal of Health Services is to meet the medical needs of each student in school. Nursing services focus on maximizing educational opportunities while minimizing the effects of illness. The health needs of the district are served by five full-time Registered Nurses and a health aide. Additional Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses are provided and supervised by the Medina County Educational Service Center (click here to view contact information for these individuals).
