Vision and Hearing Information

The Brunswick City School District performs vision and hearing screenings in accordance with the requirements established by the Ohio Department of Health as indicated in the chart below.

Screening programs are not a diagnostic evaluation and will not detect all vision and/or hearing problems. A screening only provides a snapshot of how your child performs on the day the test was administered and is not a substitute for a complete physician evaluation. Parents will be notified and referred for further evaluation if their child does not complete or pass any portion of the screenings.

If you do not wish for your child's vision or hearing to be screened, please fill out the following forms and send them to your child's school.
