Department Overview

  • Brunswick City Schools' Food Service Department is committed to promoting and providing students with wholesome and nutritious food choices.  Our food service program provides nutritious meals and snacks through the schools' meal program.The goals of the Food Service Department are:
    • To provide students and staff with nutritious, affordable meals which have been prepared in a safe, sanitary manner, while remaining a self-sufficient business.
    • To promote a school-based nutrition program that will serve as a link between students, school food service personnel, administrators, and parents.
    • To promote a positive work environment for employees who are happy and are positive role models for our students.
    The Food Service Department participates in the National School Lunch Program and is required to meet one-third of a student's daily caloric needs.
     
    All cafeteria managers are ServeSafe Certified.  This certificate is accredited by the American National Standard Institute - Conference for Food Protection and the National Restaurant Associations Educational Foundation.
     
    Brunswick City Schools' Food Service Department currently uses PaySchools point-of-sale payment system.  Information can be found on the Point-of-Sale link.
     
    It is our pleasure to serve both breakfast and lunch to the students of Brunswick City Schools.
