Mrs. Mary Weinhauer, Board President
Mary grew up in Olmsted Falls, Ohio and settled in Brunswick with her husband, Gary, in 2002. She is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University and earned her teaching certificate from Baldwin-Wallace University. The Weinhauers have three children who are all students in Brunswick City Schools. Mary was elected to the Board in 2017 and is currently serving her second term which expires in December 2025.
Mr. Rich Nowak, Board Vice President
Rich has been a part of the Brunswick City School District since 1973 when he was hired to teach at Brunswick High School. During his 37 years with the District, he has served as a social studies teacher, head football coach, athletic director, and chairperson for the Brunswick Relay for Life. After retiring in 2010, Rich continued his service to the Brunswick schools by winning a seat on the Brunswick Board of Education. He is currently serving his second term which expires in December 2023.
Mr. E. Glenn Gilley, Board Member
Mrs. Kim Goessler, Board Member
Kim has resided in Brunswick with her husband Dave since 1995. Kim has been very involved in the Brunswick City School system in various volunteer capacities since 2005 when her son Kyle started Kindergarten. Kyle graduated in 2019 and her daughter Courtney will graduate in 2021. Kim's background is in accounting and financial reporting and analysis. In September 2020, she was appointed to serve the remainder of the late Grant Relic's term. She was reelected and is currently serving her second term which expires in December 2025.
Mrs. Nancy Zelei, Board Member
Nancy Zelei has lived in the district since 1974 when Route 303 was just a two-lane road. She began her teaching career at St. John Bosco School in Parma Heights, Ohio where she taught for eight years before teaching in Brunswick City Schools for the next 25 years. After retiring from Brunswick City Schools, Nancy wanted to remain involved in the district which is why she decided to run for the School Board. She was first elected as a Board member in 2007 and her current term which expires in December 2023.
Nancy has two daughters, Jennifer and Katie who have gone into the "family business" of being educators. She has 3 adorable grandchildren that attend the Brunswick City Schools.
