About Brunswick City School District

  • Brunswick is the largest city in Medina County. Nearly 35,000 people live in our community. Brunswick City School District is also the largest school district in the county and the second largest employer. Our district educates students from Brunswick, Brunswick Hills, parts of Hinckley, and parts of Medina. Located between Cleveland and Akron, Brunswick was founded in 1815 and encompasses nearly 13 square miles.

Our 9 buildings educated 6,705 students during the 2020-2021 school year.  Nestled in neighborhoods, the 7 elementary schools serve kindergarten through 5th-grade students.  In the fall of 2020, Brunswick Middle School opened its doors to students in 6th through 8th grade.  The new state-of-the-art middle school was built to replace two historic but deteriorating buildings and combined three buildings into one beautiful campus.  Brunswick High School, one of the largest public high schools in the state, serves students in 9th through12th grade.

VISION: Dedicated to excellence.  Prepared for the future.

MISSION: Brunswick City Schools seek to ensure the success of every student through a rigorous curriculum, relevant experiences, and meaningful relationships while fostering our students' love of learning.
