The Applewood Art Club gives students additional opportunities to foster their artistic skills and interests by pursuing mediums and projects that are not a part of the regular curriculum.  The Art Club has also assisted with things like the annual Art Show and backdrop design for musical programs.

Homework Club is an after school program where classroom teachers recommend students to participate.  It is opened to students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. We meet once a week from 3:30 to 4:30.  This year it will be every Tuesday.  Homework Club helps students with homework completion as well as learning how to prepare for tests, and learning test taking strategies.

Sidekicks is an after-school program that is run through the Medina County Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program. They partner with Applewood and bring Brunswick High School Students in to be paired up with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Applewood Students. The goal of this program is to provide extra homework and academic help, positive role-modeling and time for socializing within the school setting. Sidekicks typically starts in October and meets each Thursday from 3:30-5:00 in the Applewood multi-purpose room.
