• Mr. Rich Nowak ~ Board President

    Rich has been a part of the Brunswick City School District since 1973 when he was hired to teach at Brunswick High School.  During his 37 years with the District, he has served as a social studies teacher, head football coach, athletic director, and chairperson for the Brunswick Relay for Life.  After retiring in 2010, Rich continued his service to the Brunswick schools by winning a seat on the Brunswick Board of Education.  He was elected Board President for 2020.

    Mrs. Nancy Zelei ~ Board Vice President

    Nancy Zelei has lived in the district since 1974, when Route 303 was just a two lane road.  She began her teaching career at St. John Bosco School in Parma, Ohio where she taught for eight years before teaching in Brunswick City Schools for the next 25 years.  After retiring from Brunswick City Schools, Nancy wanted to remain involved in the district which is why she decided to run for the School Board.  She was elected as a Board member in 2007.

    Nancy has two daughters, Jennifer and Katie who have gone into the "family business" of being educators.  She has 3 adorable grandchildren that she babysits during the school year and they keep her very busy.

    Mrs. Tammy Schebek ~ Board Member

    Tammy has lived almost her entire life in the Brunswick area.  She is a graduate of Brunswick High School.  Through the years she has volunteered her time with organizations throughout the Brunswick School District, served as a Board of Director for the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance, was Medina County 4-H Advisor and is a 2011 Medina County Leadership graduate. She is currently in her second term on the Board.  Tammy and her husband Joe of 32 years have three children Savannah, Joe and Sarah.

    Mrs. Mary Weinhauer ~ Board Member

    Mary grew up in Olmsted Falls, Ohio and settled in Brunswick with her husband, Gary, in 2002.  She is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University and earned her teaching certificate from Baldwin-Wallace University.  Mary currently works as a Student Learning Advocate for The Ohio Online Learning Program which provides online curriculum to Ohio school districts.  The Weinhauers have three children who are all students in Brunswick City Schools. Mary was elected to the Board in 2017 and is currently serving her first term.
